Points System
To stay in good standing with the chapter, each member is required to 1.) attend two general meetings per semester and 2.) pay their dues ($10/semester). To graduate with Phi Alpha Theta honors, each member must earn a certain number of points, which can be done in a number of ways shown below. The number of points required is determined by the year the student joined Phi Alpha Theta.
Points needed in order to earn graduation cords:
Freshmen: 50pts
Sophomores: 40pts
Juniors: 30pts
Seniors: 20pts
The points for each event are as follows:
20pts: Executive Board Member
1pt: Attending General Meetings
5pts: Induction
2pt: Social Activities
1-10pts: Committee Chair *
1-5pts: Committee Member *
1pt: History Workshop (Studying)
2pt: History Workshop (Tutoring)
3pts. Academic Events
